Work and Play
According to John Mayaki the «Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji (Dr) Ado Ibrahim summarized his aproach to work and life in general with this classic poem written in 1876 by M.A Stod(d)art»:
Work while you work and play while you play.
That is the way to be happy and gay.
All that you do, do with your might.
Things done by halves are never done right.
One thing each time and that done well, is a very good rule as many can tell.
Moments are lost and trifled away; so work while you work and play while you play.
Note: The word gay in this context does not mean homosexual. it means "lighthearted and carefree."
