Information centre
In the years around 1985 the term Information Center became famous in IBM environments. The idea was to make contents of data bases available to users outside of the IT environment.
Maintaining data on a mainframe with limited interactivity was quite a task. To sell the limited capablities (no graphics at all) was really demanding.
Hence I wanted to support one of the colleagues with a handy tool to get instant information and ability to answer customer queries with more relaxed methods.
Expenditure of human labor:3h. The instruments are real gauges for temperature, humidity and air pressure. The books are either real mini-books or trimmed soft bound books. The bookend to the left contains a spring. The complete assembly is about 30cm wide.
